World Bank funded project „Training for the National Service of Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection of Georgia in Latvia”

Objectives
To train food and veterinary experts for application of EU legislation requirements in veterinary and food surveillance, trade and performing internal audit. 
Result
Trained 22 experts from Georgia.


Moldova

Project “Optimization of food and veterinary surveillance system in Moldova” of programme Development for Cooperation funded by Latvian Government.

Objectives
Improvement of competent authorities and services in food chain and veterinary surveillance in Moldova, that in long term would promote common surveillance system, consumers safe food chain in public market and state involvement in international trade.

Project was completed in December 1, 2008 and expected results have been achieved. During the project good cooperation has been developed with experts of competent authorities in Moldova and they expressed willingness to continue cooperation in further project. There has been drafted an application to continue a project.

Kirgizstan

Project was completed in December 10, 2008 and expected results have been achieved. During the project good cooperation has been developed with experts of competent authorities in Kirgizstan a expressed willingness to continue cooperation in further projects.
